Skyjack is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of access and material handling equipment. Established in 1985, the Guelph, Canada-based company has since expanded across the globe and has offices in Asia, Europe and the Americas. With Skyjack’s global expansion, it was challenging for the company to maintain a consistent media strategy across the various regions due to language and cultural differences. Skyjack partnered with international public relations agency SE10 to help the company establish a strong brand identity across the world.


Skyjack equipment is used at many of the largest construction projects around the globe. SE10 leveraged Skyjack’s impressive portfolio of jobsite applications and built a consistent pipeline of stories from scratch. With a multilingual staff and offices in London, Singapore and Chicago, SE10 worked with Skyjack’s global teams to find, create and share stories of Skyjack equipment helping on jobsites like the London Crossrail project and in the award-winning film Arrival. These successes have appeared in leading construction publications such as Access, Lift and Handlers, Rental Equipment Register and Southeast  Asia Construction. 

SE10 also served as a trustworthy source for press requests and helped the company boost its relationship with journalists. SE10 is staffed by former journalists and believes strongly in creating newsworthy stories without overselling products.

In 2016, SE10 developed a mobile-friendly template to distribute releases so Skyjack’s customers and staff could easily read and share the content.


In 2015, SE10 helped Skyjack brainstorm a year-long campaign to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary. The result was the 30 FOR 30 PARTNERS campaign, which received the award of excellence from the Public Relations Society of America’s Chicago chapter. With SE10’s help, Skyjack partnered with 30 organizations worldwide and completed 30 unique, charitable projects that gave back to the communities that contributed to Skyjack’s success. The 30 projects included maintaining life-saving boats in the U.K., donating equipment time to help a food bank complete its inventory count and supporting an orphanage in South Korea. To kick off the campaign with a bang and breakthrough the noise during the 2015 American Rental Show in New Orleans, U.S., SE10 organized a flash mob that featured a marching band, dancers and musicians who used only a Skyjack machine as a drum to perform a solo – highlighting the robust and reliable design of Skyjack machines.
