Damian Joseph is a former business journalist that specializes in innovation, technology and design. He was one of the youngest staff writers in BusinessWeek magazine's history and was the publication’s first remote video producer, in addition to being an editorial assistant at BusinessWeek Chicago. Damian was also a regular contributor to Fast Company magazine, participating in several of its features and cover stories. For both publications, he covered such cutting-edge companies as Disney, Apple, Nintendo, AT&T, Toyota, Olympus, Procter & Gamble, Motorola and Groupon (of which he gave its first national headline), among others. As a producer, Damian created videos for The Chicago Innovation Awards and BusinessWeek, and helped produce a CEO interview series for Russell Reynolds. Also an experienced producer and musician, his scoring and songs have been featured in major motion pictures and documentaries. Other writing credits include AOL, The City Paper, several newspapers in the Chicagoland area and university alumni magazines. He also had a stint on Capital Hill in Washington, D.C., covering congressional news for several publications in his home state of South Carolina.

Damian earned a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, where he specialized in economic and political reporting, with additional studies in production and design. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in history from the College of Charleston, where he focused on civil and human rights.

As an account director at SE10, Damian uses his experience to help clients deliver communications strategies, creative programming, and compelling stories that call client stakeholders to action on the behalf of the brand. He manages a number of high-profile accounts, including Volvo, Manitowoc, Oracle and Chicago's New Regal Theater. He has developed key messaging for several companies, rolled out new brands across North America, written CEO speeches, handled crisis communications, helped plan international trade shows, facilitated the placement of dozens of magazine cover stories, produced product and trade show videos, and is an editor of Looking UP magazine, among other duties.
