Team Profile:

Ben Shaw, Partner

SE10As one of the founding partners of SE10, Ben spends his time overseeing the firm's global accounts. He applies his industry expertise, gained in business to business publishing, to help our major clients expand their brands globally. Ben spearheaded the creation of a custom magazine for a major client, which SE10 writes and designs. Published in seven languages, the magazine is distributed to 20,000 readers around the world.

Ben has spent time living and working overseas. After graduating with a degree in civil engineering and architecture from Leeds University, he spent two years in Japan teaching English at a language school and then traveled to Australia where he began his writing and editing career for Sydney University.

Brian O'Sullivan, Partner

SE10Originally training as a chartered surveyor, Brian soon transferred to begin his decade long career as a business journalist. Working initially on trade magazines, he progressed to editing leading UK business magazines and ultimately became Editor-in-Chief of the world's only global construction title, International Construction. Maintaining a significant writing workload, it is here that he developed his talent as a location reporter, often from some of the world's most remote locations. He continues to use those skills at SE10 by reporting from around the world to find interesting stories on client activities. (Brian left the country 24 times in 2006.) These stories are subsequently used in client periodicals and promoted to the international press. In the last three years he has covered stories from Angola, Lebanon, India, the US, Canada, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Sweden and Russia — to name a few.

In 2002, Brian left full time journalism to read for an Executive MBA at the prestigious Ashridge business school in Hertfordshire, UK. He joined SE10 in 2004 to help the company broaden its client services. With his business experience, Brian specializes in advising firms with international operations (or international aspirations) on their corporate communications programmes.
